In the latest Armourer’s Bench video Vic’s back with a look at a very rare Spanish light machine gun. The CETME AMELI was developed in the late 70s and adopted for service in 1982, as the M82. Externally it shares a lot of similarities with the MG42, internally, however, it has more in common with the G3 and CETME L.
Two models were made a standard model:

In the video Vic takes a look at an even rarer factory cutaway model AMELI and explains how the gun worked and also discusses the history of the gun. He also shows of a couple of CETME’s accessories for the AMELI including a magazine adaptor that allows the gun to feed vertically from a STANAG magazine, like a Bren gun.
